March EnhanceFitness In Person Class at the Katie Dusenberry Healthy Aging Center

All participants in this in-person event will be required to wear surgical or an equivalent masks and adhere to PCOA distancing and safety guidelines, regardless of vaccination status. To assure your safety and that of others, depending on the situation with COVID-19 in our community, this event may be canceled or changed from an in-person event to a virtual event. Once registered, you will be notified regarding any such changes, should they occur, and provided with information about how to join the virtual event and additional options.

Join in the fun of a group exercise activity and improve your overall health from the comfort of your own home!

EnhanceFitness® is developed specifically for older adults, with exercises focusing on four key areas important to your health and fitness: stretching and flexibility; low impact aerobics; strength training; and balance. You can join us no matter what your level of fitness is now, and we offer seated and standing exercise options.

This is no average fitness class! Classes are taught by a certified fitness instructor to ensure quality assurance and safety. Your fitness instructor will measure your starting point in several key areas of strength, mobility and balance and continue to help you monitor your progress throughout your participation. The instructor will get to know you, your individual goals and challenges, and how to help you make the most of each class.

EnhanceFitness® is an evidence-based program with years of research backing it, which means it is scientifically proven to:

• Improve strength and balance

• Increase flexibility

• Boost activity levels

• Improve mood

• Help prevent falls

Classes meet three times a week for an hour each session. Exercises are done seated and standing.
