Adventure Bus is an outreach program for high functioning people with early to middle stages of memory loss. The program is held semi-weekly with an on-campus cultural program and a bus trip. The program offers socialization, education, stimulating activities, and visits to local places of interest, while caregivers may have respite.

Harmony Hospice offers educational seminars to the community at NO cost. We invite community leaders and educators to share their knowledge on various subjects such as Falls, Safety and Proper Body Mechanics, Diabetes Self-Management, Power of Positivity, and more.

Harmony Hospice also provides volunteer opportunities. As a Volunteer, you not only offer companionship to a client in need, but you provide moral support and help with activities that will enrich their (and your) lives. You may enjoy reading together, watching tv, working on a craft project, having a conversation, and assisting with respite care.

Art Therapist with over 20 years of experience working will older adults living with dementia. In-Home or downtown studio appointments are available. Art Therapy can help us see ourselves differently, most importantly, acknowledging positive attributes when experiencing an unprecedented loss with few experiences supporting the essential sense of identity. Art-making engages complex mental processes that regulate emotional distress, validate physical experiences, and speak volumes through the symbols we make. The metaphor expressed in the artwork validates knowledge. As such, it can reach into the core of our being and assure the individual they are loved and cared for, esteemed and valued, and belong to a community.

Art Supplies Provided – We will bring all the supplies needed for our session, and the art you create is yours to keep with no additional fees. This commitment is included in our standard fee of $150 for a 90-minute appointment.

For 30+ years, OLLI-UA has served as a life-enriching healthy aging education program for adults 50+. OLLI-UA is a community of learners filled with curious minds passionate about knowledge. OLLI-UA members bring their own life experiences to the classroom making for a very engaging and enthusiastic learning setting. At its essence, it’s learning just for the joy of it with no tests or grades.
OLLI-UA is a member-run, community-based learning environment that offers a diverse repertoire of 400+ intellectually stimulating, noncredit courses and educational activities each year, along with significant volunteer engagement and leadership opportunities. We also offer social activities like dining out events, field trips, and more.
OLLI-UA also serves as an amazingly effective health and wellness program in disguise, keeping members engaged intellectually and active socially. OLLI-UA creates new friends with similar interests and a passion for life and learning. Our schedule often provides a welcome respite from personal issues like caring for a loved one or recovering from loss.
OLLI-UA has two campus locations serving Tucson and Green Valley / Sahuarita, and an extensive online program. We offer classes during the Fall, Spring, and Summer and help 1,100+ members each year experience the Joy of Learning with no tests or grades.

Congregate meals are served to low-income individuals in Picture Rocks, provided they verify income. In addition to lunch, we provide other activities for older adults such as beginning line dancing, advanced line dancing, Picture Rocks knitting circle, Picture Rocs Watercolor class, Picture Rocks Game Day for older adults, and enhanced fitness classes.
