Meals and Nutrition
Proper nutrition is vital to remaining healthy and aging well. PCOA provides a variety of outside resources that can assist depending upon your situation. These options range from meals delivered in your home to grocery shopping services. Some services may be private pay, but there are non-profit organizations that also work to alleviate hunger and get homebound adults nutritious food.

In addition to meals, the center may offer recreational, educational, and healthy living programs. You must register in advance to attend. Call the center manager for more information or to register. Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest has four areas of service in Arizona: aging and disability services, children & family services, emergency services, and refugee & immigration services. LSS-SW's Aging & Disability Services provides in-home care, including personal attendant care, housekeeping, grocery shopping, meal preparation, habilitation, and respite for family caregivers. LSS-SW delivers meals through Pima Meals on Wheels. Individuals receiving home-delivered meals may also qualify for pet food assistance.

GRAB AND GO MEAL (Mondays | Weekly | 5:00-6:00 pm | Fellowship Hall (Prayer Garden Entrance): Northminster partners with the Caridad Community Kitchen to offer a wholesome, portable meal every Monday evening.
FOOD PANTRY (Tuesdays | Weekly | 8:00-10:00 am | Multipurpose Bldg. - South Parking Lot): The Northminster Deacons Pantry is open every Tuesday morning to distribute free bags of essential grocery items. No identification is required.
MOBIBLE DRIVE-THRU FOOD PANTRY (3rd Thursday of the month, Nov. - May | 8-10 am | South Parking Lot): In collaboration with Interfaith Community Services and The Community Food Bank, we provide a monthly distribution of fresh produce and essential food items, all at no cost. Enter our South parking lot from Tucson Blvd.
