We can help access financial assistance resources and consumer issues such as unfair sales practices and unsatisfactory service. Services offered include one-on-one counseling or advice, contacting creditors or other entities on your behalf, assisting you in filling out forms, helping with benefits screening, and much more. Services are available by phone or appointment at either PCOA's facilities.

The Rio Rico Medical & Fire District's primary function is to serve emergency services to our customers within the Rio Rico Medical & Fire District and the Nogales Suburban Fire District boundaries. Additionally, we offer interfacility transport services on patient transfers from the hospital and clinic facilities within the Nogales and Rio Rico area to alternate destinations for higher medical services not provided in Santa Cruz County. Alternate care options are treatment and referral services for certain medical conditions and telemedicine options for stable patients who need guidance through an online medical physician for treatment or care options. Community Health Paramedicine (CHP) services are offered to residents of our community who need are in need of education and resources available to help with their chronic health conditions. Appointments are required for CHP services; please call the main number to set up an appointment.

Safety and Health in Motion (SHiM) is a partnership with Valley Assistance Services and the Green Valley Fire Department. It is an evidence-based fall prevention program designed to identify medical fall risks reduce fear of falling through an in-home assessment of fall risks: home, medication, lifestyle, and health. The program provides an in-home safety assessment followed by installing needed safety equipment, including night lights, reach sticks, and smoke alarms. Valley Assistance Services connects seniors with community resources to promote exercise, socialization, and independence to remain safe in your home.
