We Celebrated the Gift of Longevity

PCOA’s The Gala on May 18 at the Westin La Paloma was an absolute success.  The Gala is a fundraising event that brings our community together in support of PCOA’s programs and services. The funds we raise each year help us to meet the needs of older adults in Pima County, providing support for classes and workshops to help our community age well, and for the many services we offer to assist older people and family caregivers.

This year’s event was a wonderful celebration attended by nearly 500 people and raising more than $227,000 for PCOA. Our largest fundraising event ever!

During The Gala we Celebrated the Gift of Longevity by sharing the stories of older people who have made and continue to make significant contributions in communities across Pima County, making the most of their years of life. One of our goals was to highlight the true value of longevity, both to each of us who are enjoying longer lives, and to our community. Through advocacy and education, PCOA encourages removing barriers to participation, and creating opportunities for older people to contribute their skills, wisdom and expertise in ways that are both meaningful for every individual, and a great asset to our society.

A huge THANK YOU to the many sponsors, donors and friends whose generous support through The Gala helps make our work possible!
