Direct Advocacy & Resource Center (Direct) is a private, nonprofit organization operated by and for people with disabilities. Direct is part of a national Centers for Independent Living (CILs) network that supports individuals in pursuing their goals and advocates for disability rights and justice.

Home Access Program - Provide modifications for people with disabilities or seniors above 55 which includes ramps, grab bars, tub to shower conversions, etc. We do NOT do repairs (unless associated with our projects) or weatherization, or remodeling projects (roofing, flooring, tiling, etc.)

Safety and Health in Motion (SHiM) is a partnership with Valley Assistance Services and the Green Valley Fire Department. It is an evidence-based fall prevention program designed to identify medical fall risks reduce fear of falling through an in-home assessment of fall risks: home, medication, lifestyle, and health. The program provides an in-home safety assessment followed by installing needed safety equipment, including night lights, reach sticks, and smoke alarms. Valley Assistance Services connects seniors with community resources to promote exercise, socialization, and independence to remain safe in your home.
