The Arizona Department of Veterans' Services provides direct services to Veterans. The Veterans Benefits Offices help Veterans connect with their VA Benefits. There are two skilled nursing veteran home facilities, one in Phoenix and the other in Tucson, to provide short and long-term care.
Three Veterans' Memorial Cemeteries are Sierra Vista, Marana, and Camp Navajo (near Flagstaff). The Arizona Department of Veterans' Services provides critical, state-wide coordination and technical assistance. As well as serving the public and private sectors experiencing homelessness and building community capacity to address veteran employment and higher education.

Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Transportation provides non-emergency transportation for scheduled medical appointments located at the Tucson VA only. The number and ext. listed are the dispatch desk at Southern Arizona VA Health Care System's Tucson office. We need 5-7 business days advance notice (not including weekends or federal holidays). We have a 15-mile radius around the VA only. Veterans must be able to transfer in and out of the vehicle independently (ambulatory).

Esperanza en Escalante provides transitional and permanent supportive housing to veterans and veteran families. We also provide, in addition to housing, case management services, crisis intervention, help with employment, help with applications for benefits, and transportation for appointments to medical, dental, and other appointments and grocery runs. Transitional housing admittance must be pre-approved by the homeless program at the local VA located in Bldg. 90. Permanent supportive housing is managed by our property management company, Gorman and Co. You can contact Gorman and Co. at (520) 347-4500.

L.V.H Insurance Services, LLC provides burial and cremation planning services. Clients can pre-pay monthly and lock in today's prices with a funeral home. Your funds are held in escrow until death occurs with Great Western Insurance Company. They specialize in funeral and cremation policies. The policy will not affect your benefits if you need to spend down finances to stay with ACCESS or ALTCS programs. Provides basic wills services for free.
