The Arizona Department of Veterans' Services provides direct services to Veterans. The Veterans Benefits Offices help Veterans connect with their VA Benefits. There are two skilled nursing veteran home facilities, one in Phoenix and the other in Tucson, to provide short and long-term care.
Three Veterans' Memorial Cemeteries are Sierra Vista, Marana, and Camp Navajo (near Flagstaff). The Arizona Department of Veterans' Services provides critical, state-wide coordination and technical assistance. As well as serving the public and private sectors experiencing homelessness and building community capacity to address veteran employment and higher education.

Linkages Job Club is a program at Direct Advocacy & Resource Center that increases employment opportunities for people with disabilities through advocacy. We share the benefits of hiring people with disabilities to employers and link them to jobseekers through accessible hiring events, our employment specialist network, and training.


Job seekers with disabilities can join our job club to share their experience and hear from other peers looking for employment. We host club meeting weekly. We also have quarterly hiring events and send out weekly job blast emails events, and weekly job blast emails (contains list of thousands of jobs); we do NOT do job development such as assisting with resumes, interview practice, job search.

Esperanza en Escalante provides transitional and permanent supportive housing to veterans and veteran families. We also provide, in addition to housing, case management services, crisis intervention, help with employment, help with applications for benefits, and transportation for appointments to medical, dental, and other appointments and grocery runs. Transitional housing admittance must be pre-approved by the homeless program at the local VA located in Bldg. 90. Permanent supportive housing is managed by our property management company, Gorman and Co. You can contact Gorman and Co. at (520) 347-4500.
