Housing
There are a large variety of housing options available to older adults. These include 55 and up apartments and mobile home parks, active adult communities, independent and assisted living communities, and assisted living homes. Additionally, some older adults benefit from low-income and subsidized housing options. There are many things to consider when choosing the best place to call home, including cost, location, amenities and services, safety, and comfort. Individuals who qualify for the Arizona Long Term Care System receive financial assistance to help cover the cost of a contracted assisted living facility or nursing home.

Each of our ten residents has a private suite. Shared spaces include the living room, dining room, breakfast nook, activity room, spa bath with a walk-in tub, and a 2,000 sq ft central outdoor courtyard. We have qualified, experienced, and caring team members. They engage in ongoing training in the latest psychological, physical, and nutritional approaches to our residents' challenges. Our caring staff is awake and available 24/7, and our ratio of caregivers to residents is 2 to 10 (or better) during the day and 1 to 10 at night. Meals and snacks are prepared from scratch for each day by our chefs. Will accept respite dependent on availability. Peace must be for at least 30 days, and the monthly rate is $5000-$8000 based on room choice and level of care. Must be Covid-19 vaccinated or in the process of vaccination.

Hacienda at the Canyon is an Independent Living Community. You will have access to convenient services and care should the need for it arises. Our nature-filled campus has hiking trails, a swimming pool, five restaurants, a full-service bar, a golf simulator, a fitness center, a movement studio, an art studio, a gallery for member art shows, a bocce court, a movie screening room, spa/salon and much more. We offer numerous classes for lifelong learning, some led by our members, and transportation to opera, symphony, and theater performances downtown. Field trips have included UA attractions, the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix, Taliesen West, Sandhill Cranes near Willcox, and Wine Tasting in Southern Arizona, to name a few.
