Meals and Nutrition
Proper nutrition is vital to remaining healthy and aging well. PCOA provides a variety of outside resources that can assist depending upon your situation. These options range from meals delivered in your home to grocery shopping services. Some services may be private pay, but there are non-profit organizations that also work to alleviate hunger and get homebound adults nutritious food.

Many of our services are provided by volunteers, emphasizing hope and dignity for the individual. Confidentiality is of extreme importance. While helping the community, we encourage self-sufficiency through assistance and education. Services are provided free of charge. The exception is clothing and linens from our on-site Thrift Store. Most items are priced at $.50/each.

Borderlands' P.O.W.W.O.W. program partners with area non-profits, community organizations, and schools. We host weekly community market locations where you can get up to 70lb boxes of rescued produce at each location for a minimum contribution of $15.

CDO Food Pantry is open Wednesdays & Saturdays 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM every week. On some holidays we are closed. We have Food Bags from the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona (Tucson) and a supplemental Food Pantry where you can get some items you wouldn’t usually get in the Food Bags. You can come twice a month for the CDO Food Pantry and Once a month for the Community Food Bank of Southern AZ Food Bag. If you have any questions or want to check on holiday closure, please call our Office at 742-1168. Please be sure to bring an ID with you.
