Tax-Smart Giving
You may be able to increase your impact and reduce your tax burden through:

  • Gifts of stock or mutual funds: avoid capital gains tax
  • IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions: tax-free if you’re 70.5+
  • Arizona Charitable Tax Credit: reduce your state tax liability
  • Legacy gifts: name PCOA in your will, trust, or retirement account
  • Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs): recommend a gift through your fund

Arizona Charitable Tax Credit
Support older adults and their families in Pima County with your Arizona state taxes. PCOA is a Qualified Charitable Tax Credit Organization (QCO Code: 20313) allowing you to direct your dollars locally.
Claim up to $987 (couples filing jointly) or $495 (individuals) with your gift to PCOA. No need to itemize. Donations made by April 15, 2026 can count towards your 2025 taxes.
