Meet Isabelle Peck: Student Engagement Specialist for the Caregiver Training Institute
As the Student Engagement Specialist for the Caregiver Training Institute (CGTI), Isabelle Peck plays a pivotal role in supporting students throughout their educational journey. From guiding them through the enrollment process to identifying and overcoming barriers to success, Isabelle ensures students have the resources and support they need. She also organizes graduation ceremonies, Industry Partner Lunch and Learn events, and state testing, making her an essential part of the student experience.
Originally from Kansas, Isabelle moved to Arizona after graduating from Kansas State University. Her passion for mentoring began during her summers with Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland, where she worked as a camp counselor and later as Leadership Coordinator, mentoring over 50 teenagers in the Counselors in Training program. Joining CGTI marked her first full-time position, and she has embraced the role with enthusiasm.
In her year at CGTI, Isabelle has seen remarkable changes, including the transition to the new Katie Dusenberry Healthy Aging Center. She’s proud to have been part of the monumental effort to relocate and reestablish operations, ensuring a welcoming environment for students in the state-of-the-art facility.
For Isabelle, the most important part of her job is creating a positive first impression for students. “Often, I am the first interaction a student has with a CGTI staff member, so it’s extremely important that I create a welcoming and encouraging space,” she explains. Her ability to provide clarity in a sometimes-confusing healthcare education system makes a significant impact on students’ confidence and success.
Isabelle’s favorite moments at CGTI are the graduation ceremonies. “It’s a great time to see how the cohorts have bonded and how proud they are to share their success with family and friends,” she says. These milestones remind her of the difference her work makes in the lives of students and their families.
Outside of work, Isabelle enjoys reading fiction and romance novels, experimenting in the kitchen, and exploring Tucson with her boyfriend. They love discovering new local spots, with their most recent favorite being Mama’s pizza.
She values PCOA’s dedication to not only serving older adults but also supporting their families. “Everyone here goes above and beyond to meet the needs of clients and to support other PCOA employees,” Isabelle shares.
We’re grateful to have Isabelle as part of the PCOA team. Her enthusiasm, dedication, and compassion for students make her an invaluable asset to CGTI and our mission of empowering individuals to improve their lives.
