This two-part workshop is for informal, non-paid family caregivers and touches upon common caregiver issues. In the morning, Part#1 Steps to Resilience, topics are discussed such as communication strategies, legal and financial matters, housing, memory care & dementias, end of life planning, and many others. In Part #2 Physical Care & Safety, we have an apartment like room which is set up to demonstrate and assist caregivers in learning proper body mechanics to not hurt your back, home safety and assistive devices, setting up an emergency plan and other useful topics.
