Various programs offer different forms of transportation and often require advanced notice for a ride. Volunteer transportation groups typically provide rides that are customized to the passenger. AARP Smart Driver classroom courses are now scheduled in most communities, but capacity may be limited.
A virtual version of the AARP Smart Driver course is also available in select states. Search for your state to see if a Smart Driver Virtual Course may be an option for you.
The AARP Smart Driver Course is one of many programs AARP Driver Safety offers. It's the nation's largest classroom and online driver safety course, and it's designed especially for drivers age 50 and older.
