Our Mission: Friends in Deed aims to ensure through the work, and generosity of its' volunteers and donors, that people in the Green Valley Community have access to transportation; temporary loans of medical equipment; physical space for non-profit meetings; activities, and socialization, all without cost, to help them maintain their independence, as well as, their physical and mental health.

Our Medical Loan Chest is a type of “lending library” which carries wheelchairs, walkers, bedside commodes, shower chairs, and tub transfer benches. Whenever the need arises for something in this area – and we have the particular item in stock – we’d be pleased to lend it to you free of charge. And, if you have wheelchairs, 4 wheel walkers, bedside commodes, shower chairs, or tub transfer benches that you no longer need, contact the office at 520-296-2461, and we will be glad to have you drop them off. All items must be cleaned and in good working condition. This is what good neighbors are for – helping each other out!

Southern Arizona Adaptive Sports provides and promotes fitness, recreation, and competitive sports opportunities for people with physical disabilities. They offer wheelchair basketball, wheelchair tennis, hand cycling, adaptive trikes, and other recreational activities to get people moving as part of a healthy lifestyle. We accepted donated DME and pick-up items as well. Please call for more information.

We Care Tucson provides a no-cost medical equipment loaner program that includes wheelchairs, walkers, canes, and other mobility and life-enhancing equipment. Free hygiene and incontinence supplies, low cost refurbished computers, including laptops, des tops, and computer-related equipment. We also pick up used computers and electronics equipment and accept medical equipment. Please call to discuss your needs first.
